  • SUSPENSIONS: To make the motorcycle even more effective in track riding, Ducati has chosen to equip the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary with Öhlins components. The NX30 front fork and TTX36 rear shock absorber guarantee maximum smoothness and are designed to achieve the best performance on the circuit, with a set-up that makes the bike more precise and offers the rider greater feeling and greater support in all riding phases. The steering damper, thanks to the adjustments it is equipped with, allows you to customize its calibration by adapting it to riding style and the characteristics of the track.
  • The chassis is based on a monocoque frame, and the single-seater configuration explicitly recalls the look of the renowned racing bike.

Design

  • THE IMPRINT OF THE CHAMPION: The Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary is characterized by its special celebration livery, inspired by the 996 R bike that accompanied Bayliss during his conquest of his first world title in 2001. Ducati red is the main color of the bike, and it joins green and white in a tribute to the Italian spirit of the Bologna-based motorcycle manufacturer, while the iconic #21, Troy Bayliss' race number, and the Shell logo, which visually strengthen the link with the racing bike, stand out on the sides and front. Troy's autograph is reproduced on the fuel tank, while the billet aluminum triple clamp shows the name of the bike and the progressive numbering of this unique model.
  • A STYLE THAT EVOKES VICTORIES AND PERFORMANCE.: The equipment is completed by the sport grips, the silencer outlet cover in carbon fiber and titanium and the rider seat made by combining two different technical materials with double red stitching. Troy’s number 21 is embroidered on the saddle and, together with the green and red bands, makes up the Italian flag.

  • ABS BOSCH CORNERING EVO: The ABS system on the Panigale V2 features the cornering function (which keeps the ABS working even with the bike leaned over) and has the same intervention logic and control as on the V4. ABS Bosch Cornering EVO can be set at three different levels to fully satisfy the needs of all riders, on road or racetrack, even under critical low-grip conditions. Level 3 is intended for road use or in circumstances where there is little grip, ensuring safe, stable braking and keeping rear wheel lift under constant control during hard deceleration. Levels 2 and 1, instead, prioritize braking power and are better suited to sports riding on high-grip surfaces and racetracks. Level 2 is recommended for amateur track riding; the system controls both the front and rear brakes, keeps the cornering function on but disables lift-up control to allow harder, sportier braking. Selecting Level 2 also enables the 'slide by brake' function, letting riders drift into the bends spectacularly, effectively, and safely.   • DUCATI TRACTION CONTROL (DTC) EVO 2: The new Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 2 strategy is an offshoot of the Ducati Desmosedici GP18. In addition to interfacing with the 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and adapting intervention based on wheelspin and lean angle, the software significantly improves out-of-the-corner power control thanks to a new 'predictive' strategy. Acting not just based on instantaneous rear wheelspin but also its variation, it intercepts any loss of grip sooner and reduces peak wheelspin, ensuring faster, smoother intervention. All this means augmented out-of-the-corner stability (even in sub-optimal grip conditions), higher acceleration, better lap times and improved long run performance.
